I don’t understand how the wizarding government worked. WHO THE HELL ELECTED THE MINISTER OF MAGIC? He was just a dictator appointed by god know who. And how do the everyday witches and wizards have their voices heard? I really don’t understand.
By calling it the “Ministry” of Magic, Rowling doesn’t need to set up political parties. The Ministry isn’t a full government. It’s a ministry under British Parliament, like Foreign Affairs, or Fisheries. At least that’s what I gathered.
